The sea shanty song
There is also a song that i have to join in for which we must make sure it does not sound like a football chant, even though we are not MT we can still use our voice lessons on thursday and take what we learnt form that to project and articulate are words.
The song"In South Australia I was born Heave away haul away In South Australia round Cape Horn Bound to South australia"

And the funeral song is "Guide us Lord through veils of darkness Give our hearts the strength to bare Black is night and dawn comes slowly Shine your light forever more"
handspring puppet company
Handspring puppet company observations
Watching the handspring puppet company i have learned how to move more easily with the parrot and how you yourself must be involved with the character to make sure you are creating a distraction for the audience, i also learned that your eyes must be on the parrot at all times to show the audience where their eyes must be at all times. Below is a link to one of their performances.

parrot voice and costume
Parrot voice

Creating a parrot voice came quite easily to me as i am very good at adapting my voice to different characters that has been given to me. my costume is all black with a "hoodie" to keep the child like braking in theme, to show we are also playing a game in this story we have all created.

Learning lines
Learning lines is not easy to learn for me especially juggling revision as well with my shows. So i have researched how to learn lines quickly and keep them in my head.
Below are a few techniques-

The rehearsal app- . It’s the scene partner that never gets tired of running lines with you. this is a game changer. You can highlight the lines in the app, record the other character’s lines, and use it as a teleprompter, which will scroll through the script as you are reading it. Then it just keeps playing on a loop. The secret for me is to whisper my lines and read the other character’s lines out loud when I’m recording, so I don’t get too caught up in the way I’m saying my lines, but I know how much time I have to say them.
2. Write them out. This is quicker than you think, and you always remember the lines word for word when you are done. I have used this for memorizing longer scenes with lots of speeches. I find this works really well because you are connecting your mind to the action of writing the lines down and seeing the lines at the same time. They seem to go to a deeper part of your brain. I prefer writing them by hand instead of typing.

Move around while you are saying your lines. This has been scientifically proven to aid memory. The best thing to do is to act and feel the emotions of the character so that you are learning the meaning of the speech as much as the words. Or just for a change you can even do something entirely unrelated like juggling or sweeping the floor.
